I've been looking into typefaces from the first period of the ukulele's popularity boom to get some inspiration for my own type face. I feel that my findings are all relevant to the existing designs for ukulele string packages that are still around today. I aim to incorporate elements of these styles into my work and add that playful tongue in cheek feel, overall reducing the level of sophistication and making it more fun.
